Beginner (60min)
$31/members and $45/non-members. Learn the game of squash the easy way with this program designed to teach the fundamentals. Students will progressively learn the game and rules with topics including forehand/backhand strokes, volleying, serve and return.
Intermediate (60min)
$31/members. This clinic will improve your tactics, fitness and technique. Improve your game in a drill based environment and game-based situations. Players will also have the opportunity to practice in supervised matches.
Advanced (60min)
$31/members. Train like the pros with our fast-paced program. Sessions will be based on perfecting your stroke and shots in drills and situations used by the pros. Limited to six participants on two courts.
Table Tennis
We are a short drive away from one of the seven wonders of the world, Niagara Falls. See the Falls from the sky with Niagara Helicopters, from boat with Hornblower Niagara Cruises or from within at Journey Behind the White Oaks features Table Tennis action at a variety of levels. For recreational play and warm-ups, there are tables available in the concourse of the Squash Centre.

Private lessons are available at a rate of $50 plus tax per hour. An initial minimum booking of 5 one-hour sessions for a total of $250+hst is required.

Giovanni brings 17 years experience to his role. He was a ranked professional in his native Chile and recruited on a scholarship for college tennis in California. He instructs all ages and levels and has worked with some of the world’s best ranked players.
Cool Fact:
Giovanni recently moved from California to Niagara, both areas famous for wine. Can that be a coincidence?

Bio:
Tennis has become a lifetime sport for Michaela, who started learning tennis right here at White Oaks at the age of nine. Michaela enjoys teaching the fundamentals of tennis to beginner adults, taking a special interest in kids tennis.
Cool Fact:
As a youth, Michaela lived in some interesting places, including Pakistan, Ghana, and the Turks & Caicos Islands.

Bio:
Michael was a GSC Division 2 Singles Champion from the University of North Alabama, 1981. He was a Tennis Pro at White Oaks from 1981-1988 until he left to teach high school, retired in 2015 and returned to White Oaks to continue as a teaching Pro.

Michael has been a DJ since 1976 and still enjoys playing music for various events.

Julianne organizes our leagues and enjoys working with players new to the game.

Julianne is a tough competitor and has won many tournaments in singles, doubles and mixed over the years.

Bio:
Joseph brings over 9 years of coaching experience to the court. He has competed in professional tournaments throughout his playing career, and has earned a Division I scholarship in the USA studying Biochemistry. He has experience teaching students across a wide range of ages, and is passionate about making tennis accessible for all.

Joseph is an OCT-certified high school teacher specializing in math, science and special education.

Bio:
Nick began playing tennis at the age of 5 at White Oaks. Nick attended a tennis academy in Texas at age 15 for 5 years and went on to receive a scholarship at a division 1 school in Texas for 4 years. He played competitive tennis for 15+ years and now has over 5 years of coaching experience including assistant coach for a university women’s team.
Cool Fact:
At age 12, Nick got to choose between pursuing a soccer or a tennis scholarship!

Bio:
As a graduate from Niagara Academy of Tennis, Emma has over 6 years of coaching experience, working with all ages and levels. She currently attends Niagara University in New York and plays NCAA Division I Tennis for the university's women's tennis team.

Emma competed as a multi-sport athlete growing up, competing at the national level for tennis, volleyball, and gymnastics.

Bio:
Dallas grew up playing tennis at white Oaks, has been playing for 16 years while coaching for 8 years. Playing tennis growing up, Dallas enjoyed competing at a high level and played in many Tournaments.
Cool Fact:
Dallas played Baseball in the states on Scholarship and was also a bronze Medalist at OFFSA in high school for tennis!

Bio:
Julio brings 15 years of high-performance coaching experience. His tennis career began at White Oaks at the age of 7 and he graduated from Niagara Academy. After competing at the national, international, and professional levels he attended St. Bonaventure University on a division 1 tennis scholarship. He continues to enjoy playing competitive tennis today. Julio is also a graduate of the Niagara College Police Foundations program.

Bio:
Gianluca has been coaching since 2010. He began his tennis career at White Oaks at the age of 4. After competing provincially and nationally as a top-ranked junior, Gianluca captained Brock University's varsity tennis team, which he now coaches. At Brock, Gianluca pursued five academic degrees, including a Ph.D. in Education.
Cool Fact:
Gianluca's tennis pedigree is strong. His father, Bruno Sr., was a coach at White Oaks and the recipient of Tennis Canada's "Coach of the Year" award in 2001. Gianluca's late brother, Bruno Jr., was a former professional tennis player and coach, two-time national champion, and captain of the tennis team at the University of Kentucky, where he achieved a career-high ranking of #2 in the NCAA.

Bio:
Soner Arıburnu is a Tennis Canada Certified coach with over 27 years of international coaching experience. He previously served as a Level 3 Certified Coach with the Turkish Tennis Federation and spent more than a decade in Head Coach roles. He has led national teams, including the Turkish U12 and U14 teams, and served as the National Wheelchair Tennis Coach, guiding athletes to the 2008 Beijing and 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. In Canada, Soner has coached at the Niagara Academy of Tennis, ACE Tennis, and Ancaster Tennis Club, contributing to junior, high-performance, and adult player development.
Cool Fact:
Soner completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (Teaching) with Tennis as his second specialization and competed in University League 1 as a tennis player for four years.

Seth has been coaching tennis for 15+ years and has his Club Pro 1 Certification from Tennis Canada. He has worked with juniors to adults, beginners to advanced. Seth enjoys coaching and has a passion to take on anyone who has the desire and will to better themselves on the court both physically and mentally. Be good, Do good, Go Bills!/p>
Cool Fact:
Once known as the most interesting man on earth… until Dos Equis approached him because they needed a slogan. Growing up, seth played hockey, golf, soccer, baseball, lacrosse and tennis competitively. After graduating from university Seth took coaching tennis more seriously and has led him down the path to where he is today. He also graduated culinary school.

Bio:
Greg was a top 10 U18 Junior and part of the #1 Doubles team in Canada.
Greg went on to receive a Tennis Scholarship at The University of Michigan. Upon graduation he became the Assistant Coach at The University of Michigan.
He decided to move back to Canada, and bring his wealth of knowledge to work with Canada's top Juniors. He instructs all ages and levels.
Cool Fact:
Greg placed over 200 Canadian Junior Tennis players on Scholarships to U.S Universities.

Matt runs our Junior Program at White Oaks. He is our senior pro and has the patience of a saint. He is a dedicated teacher from beginner right through to competitive.

Matt is father to two boys who play squash really, really well.

Bio:
Jim enjoys coaching junior and intermediate players and has a very good eye for picking out flaws in strokes. He brings 30 years of experience to the court and a passion for the game.

Jim has won our Level A Championship two times and ranked in the top 10 in Canada in Masters Championships.

Bio:
Scott likes to work with players training to compete but if you are eager to learn or improve, he might just be the best coach for you.

Scott won an Outstanding Contribution to Squash award in 2008 and is father to two lovely teenage daughters who play squash really, really, really well.

Cindy runs our DSBN Schools Club Experience program and Squash Leagues. She loves to coach juniors and players new to the game. She makes it fun and ensures everyone enjoys their lesson and loves squash.

Cindy has a coaching achievement award from Squash Ontario for 2010 and is mom to three lovely young adults – who all play really, really, really well.

Bio:
Nick grew up playing squash at White Oaks under his Father, the Late Mark Sachvie. He is currently a Team Canada member and competes on the Professional Squash World Tour. The Two-time Canadian Men’s Champion boasts an impressive Junior, Collegiate, and Professional career thus far. His wealth of knowledge and passion will surely help you take your game to the next level!

He studied and played squash at Cornell University for four years.

Tom’s focus is on Intermediate to Elite competitive players and he definitely knows what it takes. He is currently one of the top men's players in Canada aged 50+.

Bio:
Zoe is nearing completion of her undergrad, majoring in Life Sciences at UF. She began playing squash at age 13 and fell in love. By her last semester of high school she was studying remotely which allowed her to travel around Canada to compete in JR and SR Nationals. Now, as a Coach, she enjoys coaching people of all ages and levels!
